B&B Options in Manchester

Manchester has quickly become a major tourist draw as millions are spent on regenerating the former industrial heartland. The city centre is now a buzzing cultural hub and has the advantage of being surrounded by some of the most beautiful countryside in England. As a consequence, demand for boutique B&Bs and hotels in the city is on the increase but, if you’re not familiar with Manchester, knowing which area to choose can be tricky.

In general, you have a simple choice between the city centre and leafy South Manchester. Take a look at  Google Maps once you have a few places in mind, to check how far they are from the attractions which you would like to see. Public transport in Manchester can be somewhat sparse in some areas, especially late at night, so if you’re not able to drive, it might be worth being within walking distance of the main attractions and restaurants. Overall though, make sure that the reviews make your chosen B&B sound like a place you want to go. There’s no reason to waste money on an accommodation choice you don’t like.
